The city nights, echoes and lights
The soft rain falls you draw your coat up tight
Your footsteps tapping on the path you roam
Alone
But how can you go home
Too quick to shout out
Far too quick to start a fight
Too quick to slam that door now you’re

Central park it brings back memories
But at night there’s just foreboding in the trees
You could walk on but you’ve got nowhere to go
Do you turn for home and face another show
